Transfers, Purchases, Mail-In Services

A Federal Firearms License (FFL) is required for gunsmiths to legally provide their services. This is the same license that Firearms Dealers are required to have.  As such, I can offer additional services, like receiving firearms shipments for individuals purchasing guns online, facilitating private transfers of firearms locally and across state lines, and ordering firearms for individuals directly from distributing dealers.  The charge for performing these services is $25.

I'm registered with several of the auction houses and retailers (Gunbroker, Simpsons, Midway USA, etc.) and they have my information on file. If you need to have me send my FFL and shipping details to someone you are purchasing from, please CONTACT ME and I'll get it out to them...then I will know to watch for a delivery!

To receive a purchased firearm, individuals are required to fill out a Federal Firearms Transaction Record form and go through an NICS Background Check.  In Kentucky, holders of a valid Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW) Permit may receive their purchase without going through the NICS check ...which greatly speeds up the transaction! **Please note however, that KY LEO CCDW permits are not valid for this transaction.**

Recently, I have been receiving  service requests from clients from more distant parts of Kentucky, as well as folks out of state who are experiencing firearms issues or want specific work done. I can help!  Unlike the shipping restrictions discussed above for purchasing a firearm, legal firearms owners can send their firearm via post (USPS, UPS, FedEx) to me for repair.

Other states may have specific restrictions for interstate shipping of firearms, especially handguns, so that would be something to check on. In all cases, if you are unsure, you can have a local FFL holder ship the firearm to me. It is always best to give me a call before just sending me something. that way we can discuss what you needs to have done and I can answer any questions you might have.

I can send you a copy of the Gunsmith Service Form I use here in the shop.  You must include a copy of this form with your firearm!!  Please review and follow the Customer Shipping Instructions below. It is always best to send firearms in a hard case with a cardboard outer box! I record any obvious damage on firearms when they are received, and if the packaging is damaged, I will not accept delivery.

I am not responsible for any damage the firearm receives during shipping, so insure your parcel appropriately!
